Success! I now have a job. I'll be working as a Student Nurse Tech in the Progressive Care Unit at the Schumpert Hospital right next to my school. The job will last until I graduate, so I'll be working while in school. (Yikes!)

Only problem is, I am going to have to wait a while before I start. I have to get a physical and all kinds of tests. Apparently it takes a while to process new employees. Lame.

So, since I've had little to do I went to Houston last week. It was probably the only time I could visit Jeff all summer. He's going to leave to study abroad in Scotland for the second half of the summer. (I'm so jealous.) We had a good time; saw some movies, found another decent sushi place, etc.

I tried to come home a few days ago when my tire absolutely exploded after an hour of driving, bending the rim. A nice old man pulled off the road and changed it for me. I tried my best to help him (I am more than capable of changing a tire) but he told me to stand out of his way. I ended up just letting him work and gave him one of the bottles of water from my cooler. It's nice that there still are Good Samaritan in the world. So many people are afraid to help each other these days. Jeff's daddy and I went to a junkyard for a new rim, and then I had to buy 2 new tires. Boo.

Now that I'm home Lara and I are basically watching fansubbed anime and playing Kingdom Hearts. I hope to be making money very soon...

See? That only took like 1.5 months for a new comic this time.

I'm not doing much right now. Just trying to get a job. I was hired at the hospital on an Oncology floor, except that they have to get the position approved before I can start work. So, I'm not technically an employee yet; I just have a promise that I will be hired when they create the job. In addition, the next orientation isn't until the 26th. My future boss told me to call him back on the 12th, since he won't know anything until after then. I'm a WEE bit impatient. Not with him, but more with the hospital in general because of it's paperwork ordeals.

The puppy has gotten more lively. He keeps me busy for a good part of the day. He's a high-energy breed, so he wants to play constantly. I'm running around the house all the time making sure he isn't hiding somewhere and pooping.

Lara's up at the school most of the day being a drum major. I'm so proud of her, she's definitely good at what she does. She just radiates it, like sunshine. I have a feeling she's going to be Awesome.

My room smells like Gardenias right now. They are my favorite flower. The smell makes me sleepy. I'll write more later.
