I direct your attention to the comic on the right (as promised). Proceed to jubilate; I know you've been waiting a long time. My thanks to the faithful.
I nearly fell over laughing when Lara pointed out to me that Rayne's hair looks REALLY BIG if you don't realize its in that ponytail. It hadn't occurred to me... but yes... that perspective is hilarious. ^_^
...I think Chava's hair is sexy.
I registered for my nursing classes last Wednesday. Wow. They were alarmingly efficient and intimidating. When I entered the room they assigned me my Level 1 instructor, and told me what my schedule would be. My earliest class is at 6:45 AM on Wednesdays. I'm going to have to get back on a highschooler sleep schedule, so I don't expect you guys will be seeing much of me online at night after this week.
I am going to be taking seven different courses simultaneously (this is standard) and have purchased a stack of books two feet tall. I have seven chapters to read before class even begins. (Scrubs, patches, stethoscope, and facemask come next week.) Some of my niftier texts include a drug guide that explains every medicine on the market, and an illustrated medical dictionary that shows you EXACTLY what all those grody terms mean.
I bought chairs for the green room. It looks awesome. I enjoy reading in there. Less distraction. I'm going to go try to knock out a chapter before I go to bed now. My life is about to get very busy, so best to start strong.
I hope school is going well for all of you. Tell me what you're studying this term?
I'm back in Louisiana, and full of initiative.
We have a lot of catching up to do now, don't we? ^_^
I was accepted to nursing school at NSU, which is a great relief. Since returning I've been stuck with many needles to insure my good health and immunity. Shots, TB and blood tests have bruised the veins on both my arms, leaving me looking like some kind of addict. I register for classes this Wednesday and start school a week later. As much as I loved being in Memphis, its good to start being productive again.
For example: the room next to mine has been filled with junk for years. Lara used to sleep there before she moved down the hall, and in the intervening years it was overrun by teddy bears and old Barbie dolls. I've been meaning to fix the space up for a long time, and turn it into an entertainment/relaxation room. Life has usually kept me from tackling it, but two days ago I got the manic energy of Purpose.
I've since boxed toys, painted the room green, and put my loft bed up in there. I am able to watch TV (which is in the now doorless closet) while reclining on several pillows beneath the loftframe. I still need to paint a few more things (old furniture, the inside of the closet, and trim), sew some curtains, and put the old bedframe in the attic... but other than that I'm extremely proud of myself.
Some pictures to show progress.

I've kept up the running, though I had to cut back on distance because of runner's knee. I've taken to running at the Stockwell track at night while my parents walk.
A funny story: I was running in a particularly dark area with my music turned up high when this black, screaming shape suddenly attacked my right leg. I had no idea what was coming up on me in the dark, so I screamed bloody murder, jumped off the track, and yanked out my earphones. It turned out to be a yippy little purse dog one of the power-walking ladies had accidentally let loose. She gave me the weirdest look because I'd
screamed at this silly little dog. I started laughing and tried to explain, but she just power-walked back the other way. I was a little embarrassed.
So.
I'm almost ready to start comicing again (Yes, its a verb. MY verb). I'm excited. I've really missed working on it. Check back this week for something new. I'll try not to disappoint. <3
