Hm, yes. Everything I've drawn for this latest comic makes me feel like a tard. (Stupid eyes... they make the faces.) After a couple of hours I got frustrated and gave up. So instead of a comic I put up a swimsuit picture with both Esuna and Rayne. Kinda sketchy looking since I didn't ink the lines before coloring... but at least its something to look at. Sorry I'm such an inconsistent artist >_<

Lara and I are going to a lake this week though. A short camping trip before we continue to Memphis. Exciting! We're leaving tomorrow morning around noon (after running fifty errands). I'm taking my computer with me so I can work on the comic once I settle there. Who knows when that will be, so until then we're on a bit of a hiatus.

Nothing much to tell right now, though I'm sure I'll be full of stories once I get there. I want everyone at home to know how much I love and will miss you! I hope you all have an excellent summer, and expect many comments here to keep me up to date on your lives!

Well, I'm back from my weekend in Houston. Short comic has been posted, as promised. Not anywhere on par with the last one... but something's better than nothing, right? Or is it...

I am a person who likes hugs. Did you know it? I think the best feeling in the world is being wrapped up in a big hug from somone you love. I was sure to get an extra amount of hugs from Jeff this weekend, since I probably won't be able to see him for a while. My schedule is about to be crazy, so I might not be able to hug any of you guys for a while either.

Wednesday my family is taking a spontaneous vacation to New Orleans (which I only learned about today). After that I'll have the weekend to pack... and then I'm gone for the summer! Before Memphis, we're apparently going to Arkansas to camp. This means I can't take my fish to with me, which makes me sad. I don't want to leave him here! During this insanity, I don't know how my comic is going to be updated. I'll eventually settle in up in Tennessee and will turn the computer back on. But until then... who knows?

While I'm up there... I'll be working on another comic besides this one. I've been promising my cousins I'd finish the tale of "Tangerine, Petri, and Cobb" for ages. I really have no excuse for taking so long to write it... so I best get to work once I'm there. None of you will probably ever get to see it. It's for kids, and I'd be too embarrassed. Sorry.)

I'll let you know what's goin on. Oh! And much thanks to everyone who has sent me pictures sofar. Everyone's contributions have been really great, and I appreciate you so much. ^_^

I couldn't resist.
My room felt empty without a fishy companion. Every time I caught a glimpse of my empty tank I felt really sad. On an impulse, I drove to the Critter Company. I told myself I wasn't going to buy a fish unless they had a small purple and white male. It seems this little guy and I were fated to be together, since he was one of the only 3 males left. And exactly what I was looking for.

You can't see his blue tones in this pic for some reason. Those red fins have an irridescent blue shine on them, which makes him look purple in the light. He is about half the size Geryon was (which means he's a baby still). He's also of a special breed called "crowntail", where the spikes extend past the edges of his fins.
If you haven't noticed, all my fishes have names that start with G. (Why? Because.) Gavriel is another form of Gabriel.
I'm so happy now! ^_^

Hey guys! How you all liking this whole "Esuna starts working on a comic but takes four times longer than she expected to make it and only ends up updating every other week" thing?
Yeah, I'm not liking it either.
You can probably see why this one's art took a little longer... but the funny thing is I finished the art on Monday and then stared at the screen with some serious writers block for three days. Normally I script as I draw and it falls into place... but this one just wasn't flowing for me. I'm still not happy with it.

I'm going to Houston this weekend, so I definitely won't be making a full comic this weekend. But because I'm so lame about regular updates, I'll try to pull something small together this evening so you'll have something to look at next Monday.

Sadly, my little Geryon died yesterday. He had dropsy, which is kinda like cancer. He was a good fish, and I will miss him. I buried him in a flowerpot and left him salt, water, incense, and a candle.

I won't be getting a new fish until I start school again. It's not like I could take a fish to Memphis, and I'd hate to stress the little guy out. So. Rest in peace Geryon. You were a good buddy.

It's the home stretch for finals!. I have a test Monday and Thursday, and then I'll finally be done with this semester. Those of you who are coming home this week should call me! I'll be sure to make time for you. I plan to spend the weekend of the 21st with Jeff and will probably leave for Memphis sometime in the following week. I can't go until I get my clinical application together though, and who knows how long that will take. Long story short... I wanna see you before I go. Especially you girls I've not seen in a while. Sarah. Emily. Kristen. Everyone!

Anyway, I've finished drawing this week's comic and am almost done coloring it. I have writer's cramp so bad right now I'm going to finish tomorrow. Check back. I think this one is going to look pretty neat.

You all simply must go look in the art section!

I was emailed a larger version of this picture from Aleph, the artist behind Malakhim. Her comic is good. I've added her banner in the link section too.
When I expressed my delight to her, she responded with "I'm glad you liked it-- I was really worried it didn't look enough like you to be pleasing. I'm told I bring out the insides of people, and I saw a really nice inside to you while I was on the boards."
Wow! Since she's so nice to me, I think you should all go check out her work. ^_^ <3

Also, it's kinda spooky how her site is named Malakh, isn't it? Considering my characters are about to head off through the Storm to a world named "Malach" themselves. Pure conincidence.

What a week! So much to tell! Let's start at the beginning.

My mother called me at work on Monday. "You don't need to pick up your sister from school today. I've already got her."
I glanced down at my watch in confusion. "Why do you have her now? Its only 1:00."
My mom starts laughing. "I had to... haha... I had to come get her from school."
"Why?"
"She got... she got her tongue stuck in her braces! Hahaha!"
Apparently Lara had managed to get part of that membrane underneath the tongue stuck in a wire at the front of her mouth. Her friends asked her what was wrong, but she couldn't tell them. The tongue was jutting out of the corner of her mouth at an angle, eyes wide with disbelief. "Mah tongth ith sthuck!" She ran to the office and was met with shock and laughter.
While Lara waited for mom to get her, the office staff gave her a cup to put over her mouth (She couldn't pull her tongue back inside! Haha!) Passing teachers asked her what was wrong. Upon learning, they would lean in with a sick fascination. "Really?! I wanna see that! But its okay... I won't make you show me... but... I really wanna see it!!"
The dentist's office was on lunch break from 1-2. The receptionist left the doors unlocked, so Lara and mom could sit and wait there alone for thirty minutes. After applying some topical anesthetic, they managed to unhook her tongue from the metal. And everyone agreed that in all their years of practice... this was the first time anything like this had ever happened. EVER.

The week dragged along after that. Work school work school work. And then my birthday!

I got some nice gifts from my family including clothes, money, and the beautiful beautiful Pod. Gramma and Granpa also gave me this weird wallplaque thing. I don't know if its funny or offensive, therefore I love it. o_O

Later Rachel, Brian, Chris and I went out to Chili's, where they bought me my first legal drink (very nice of them <3<3<3). They came over and hung out a while with me, we had great times. I wanna thank everyone who called me on my birthday and sent me internet well-wishes. I love you all.
And Emily! I saw you commented on my last blog. Really, I'd love to catch up sometime.

Today's comic references Chris's Skyglow Project. I'm not entirely happy with the way the project itself turned out. I have a feeling nothing is going to capture it short of a 3d prog.

The truth is, I am perfectly capable of staying awake and coloring this weekend's comic. It's drawn, and Rachel has graciously provided European backgrounds yet again. The problem is that I have become so ridiculously nocturnal lately, I NEED to force myself into bed early tonight.

While you wait for me to color the comic, here are two new wallpapers. The first is a gift I gave Lara/Sulie/Rayne for her birthday. The second is a 3d-rendered version of my lotus flower, done by Bluephantom. Enjoy!
(I think I'll be adding a wallpaper section to my gallery... once I get a gallery up that is... stupid webhost >_<)

1024x768
(This should easily fit any screen size with a white desktop background)

So, I've finished with two of my classes and only have 3 more tests to take. But when I hear about other people's finals and cant help but feel like a bit of a hack! Jeff is stressed about his stat projects (none of his group is doing their fair share of work), Sarah has all her music stuff (ahhhh!!!!), and Chris constantly sends me scraps of the PHP project he's working on (which looks like a bunch of gobbledy-gook to me).
Want to know what I have to take? A math test, a Chem test, and a CS test. I will only have to study for Chem. I know that next year is going to be NUTS if I get into clinicals. But if I don't get in... I don't know if I can stand any more of these dumb classes. They neither challenge me nor entertain me.
I'll probably fill up my schedule with photography and painting if something stupid happens to me next semester. Boy, that would make for some even better finals! "I expect three paintings on my desk by Saturday!" Ha!

I'm looking forward to seeing those of you who are coming home for the summer. I'm looking forward to my 21st birthday this Saturday. I'm looking forward to making my trip to Memphis.

Happy Mayday.
