Sorry for the delay. I'll have a comic up tonight.
*Edit* I lied. I put up some filler and will instead do a double-length comic on Friday.

Comic page 36 is up. Read.
No blog for you. I gotta get up in about 6 hours. Then I gotta drive to Houston tomorrow.
Incidentally, this is my 50th post on Blogger. How lame. Why not leave messages here about how school is going for you. Fill up this empty empty space.
Love and light for all. Happy weekend. ^_^

Just turned 35. Not me. The comic. Click the box to the left for the latest issue.
The smell of baked bread is wafting through the house. But I don't get any today; this is attempt number two to make use of that old breadmaker and all I have to show for it is a large, imploded, half-burned, half raw loaf. I will triumph eventually, even if I have to make the bread by hand. Breadmaking is a lost art, I think. We'll see how it goes.
I start classes tomorrow morning. Wish me luck with it, though not too much luck. We'll see how that goes too. I'll give you a report on Friday.
I got to see Rachel and Brian this weekend. I was glad they visited; they are as dear to me as ever. You know those rosaries that they were s'posed to bring us all back from Rome? Well, a thieving Frenchman made off with their backpack in Paris, and the rosaries went with them. They never actually got blessed by the Pope, even though poor Brian followed the Pope practically all over Italy (earning him that name Popestalker). They did manage to return with a few postcards and such, and books of art.
I really want to see all those wonders myself one day. I'll take 1000 digital pictures and make a UberEuro blog. Oh, look there's that word "uber" again. When did that become such a common piece of slang on this side of the world?
Congrats to the LSUites who made Tigerband. ^_^

Click the comic box and read number 34.
I am almost squared away with all my school stuff. I am very ready to be back into the academic grind. Summer has a way of being relaxing... but without purpose. I tend to handle my time better when I am very busy. I shouldn't be TOO busy since half of my classes are now taken at community college... nevertheless I am glad I'll have the chance to crack a textbook again.
You know, if I could start everything over again, I would definitely take more fun classes. That may sound dumb, but listen to this. I have taken 72 hours sofar, only about thirty of which apply to my current curriculum. Unlike Texas, Louisiana doesn't bother itself with things like compulsory history and government classes... so here I am with these extra 'electives' lying around.
Now, I recognize the value of those fundamental courses in making me a well-rounded human being... but MAN, if I'd known that all that mental suffering would have amounted to nothing more than electives... I'd have taken some REAL electives. Give me art and dance. Graphic design. Jeff is taking a class next semester where you watch and critique movies. Now THOSE would be some awesome electives.
And who says we have to be well-rounded people anyway? I guess broad knowledge is useful, but deep knowledge is so much more interesting. Forget "well-rounded", guys, its the new square. I'm a serpentine shape that wraps its mind around all kinds of creative and silly things. Quality education, expertise: I'd lean toward that over breadth in a heartbeat.
Completely unrelated, Rachel and Brian are coming in to town this weekend. I am going to hear of all their adventures in Europe, and will surely relate some to you in the next blog I write, such as "The Great Rosary Disaster" and how Brian came to be known as "The Popestalker".
Oh, and Jeff and Josh have been writing cool music. I especially like their latest song. If you wanna hear it, tell me in a message and I'll send it your way. I'm sure they won't mind the attention.

I managed to make another one of those picture-story things even though I didn't get back from Jeff's until about 9:00pm.
While I was at Jeff's I saw House of Sand and Fog. Know what? That is one of the saddest movies ever. Seriously. For the first half, I was just really pissed off, but then at the end I was bawling.
Before House, we tried to watch the original Solaris movie (in Russian) but it put us to sleep. For some reason it included almost NO ambient noise whatsoever. And there were all these shots of just trees and water and you just kindof felt like you were in a guided meditation or something. We had to turn it off to prevent passing out. Guess we'll save it for another day.
Most of you are heading back to or are already back at school. I hope you all have a wonderful beginning of the school year! Drive safely!

A new comic is up, and its double length as an apology for that weird, crooked-eyed piece of filler I put up on Monday.
My sister was sitting there with me at the computer when she says "Are you Elisabeth or Elizabeth? You're Elizabeth, aren't you? Right............. No.... Wait....." To which I responded "LARA... My middle name is ELAINE."
My last day of work is Monday. All in all, it was a good job, but I'm definitely ready to be done with all the snot and poop and whining. I really think that, of the three, I despise the whining most. The four-year-old room is filled with this constant high-pitched moan and I can't make it stop EVER. Today I told one of the fidgety ones that I cooked bad little children in a stew and ate them. Especially whiny ones. He laughed, but then kinda kept his distance and was quiet so I'm regretting I didn't try the outrageous scare tactics sooner.
Going to Houston this weekend, so if you're leaving town and I don't have the chance to say bye, I hope you have another safe journey!
Love for you all ^_^

What exactly have I been doing this summer?
I can't even think of it. It all just slips away so quickly. Every day is like the others. I feel busy and tired and pressed for time a lot. But nothing really gets done, does it?
The comic being one of those things that doesn't get done. Which is really strange, since its one of those things that I really care about. One of those things on my list to do before I die. I HAVE to tell that story (because I've known how it ends for years). And I'm not doing it.
I guess I'm ready for school to start. Its going to be weird, living at home. Some part of me actually thinks of it as a really long summer break. Except that all my friends go back to their Universities. Man, I'm really tired today. Goodnight, I'll catch y'all later.
Comment topic: What are some of the things on your list to do before you die? List a few?

I apologize for not getting this comic up on time. Better late than never though! ^_^;;;

Chapter 2. New chapter. New characters. The girl at the window is named Sulie. (Soolie, not Sully... if for some reason you are possessed to pronounce it that way).
I just saw The Village, which was very much the awesome movie. I'm a big fan of M. Night Shyamalan and his twisty endings. The only disappointment to it is that I pretty much guessed the twist within the first fifteen minutes of the film. I wont tell you what it is, because giving away the endings is bad and mean. But even with the surprise being not-so-surprising... I still liked it a lot.
I went to the lake this weekend and had an awesome time with some friends. It was good to see them again! It really made me want to go back to UH though. I was just getting settled in, finding people, spreading my roots.
I know Sarah just got back home, but Rachel and Brian won't be back for a while. I might as well get used to it though. I am going to be living here.
NSU finally decided to give me some credits, and I may be able to get my TOPS reinstated. Now all I have to do is figure out how to schedule this mess.
Gotta go to bed early tonight. Have a great week.
